St Urban 285 Central Park West New York was built in 1906 and designed by Robert S. Lyons, the St. Urban's residences feature spacious rooms, tall ceilings, rich mahogany and quarter-sawn oak finishes, libraries, foyers, grand dining rooms, large kitchens and a unique, first-of-its-kind central refrigeration system providing each apartment with a private chiller. Many large bay windows, usually located in the living rooms, offer views of Central Park and most units have wine cellars and maids’ quarters; several of the upper-floor apartments also have working fireplaces.
285 Central Park West has been renovated over the past few years, with its roof and exterior recently undergoing a major restoration.
