"I attended to Geelong Grammar School as a border from 1968 to 1972. I was in Fraser House, Otway House in middle school, F Unit at Timbertop and Cuthbertson House in senior school. My family moved from Sydney to the country which is why I went to boarding school. I enjoyed my time at the school and learned many valuable lessons including discovery my lifelong interest in art. The school magazine The Corian, which was edited by Michael Collins-Persse was the first publication to publish one of my drawings which I still have. The first girl to attend Geelong Grammar when it became coeducational in 1972 was Beth Rail (who I think came from Canada) and was in our study at Cuthbertson. I can still remember quite vividly when the first group of about six or seven girls began at the school. What seems normal now seemed quite revolutionary then. Some of the teachers that influenced me greatly whilst I was at the school were,Michael Collins Persse, Tibor Korn (art), John Bedggood housemaster of Otway, Ivan Sutherland - Housemaster of Fraser House, Bill Haywood - Master of Corio and whom I still keep in touch with, Tim Murray who taught drama and included me in some of the school plays and Dick Johnson who taught me to read newspapers."
